THE BEGINNINGS
Tony Lowery was a Tool Maker who designed and built the water pumps for the Dartford Bridge. He was contracted to carry out engineering works to the machinery at Mallendale Corrugated Containers in Willesden who purchased the first Langston Corrugator in the UK. Tony was subsequently offered the position of Production Manager and on leaving School, Steven joined his father at Mallendane’s as maintenance engineer.
Steven then joined Panificio Italiano, a large Bakery in Wembley as night shift maintenance engineer and was then head hunted to set up a complete bakery from scratch to source and install equipment, and continued to provide maintenance support for a further 3-4 years

He re-joined GL Engineering installing corrugated box machinery internationally
1987
Steven was head hunted again to source a suitable corrugated for a company in Israel and was contracted to maintain the plant for a further 5 years.
1991
He re-joined GL Engineering where he remained until 2002 when Syresham Engineering Services was born.
With engineering in his blood, Steven is passionate about the Industry and contributes a wealth of experience and knowledge. He is a natural when it comes to machinery and takes great pride in all he does, he is a Mechanical Magician who loves a challenge. His role on a day to day basis consists of machine fault diagnosis and carrying out repairs. Servicing works, machine modifications, dismantling, uplifting, loading/off-loading and installing machinery. Re-furbishing machines and designing.

Due to his vast experience Steven is able to diagnose a fault in minimal time from either listening to the machine, or from the symptoms described, and pulls out all the stops to address the problems with very limited down time. If the fault cannot be repaired immediately, he will carry out a temporary repair to keep the machines running until the parts/materials are sourced to allow a permanent repair.
Limiting production interruption, and keeping machinery up and running in this time critical Industry is key, and with Steve’s critical thinking, there has never been a problem that he has not been able to solve . Steven believes that any customer Production loss os also our production loss, if the customer suffers, SES suffers too.
Flexibility, being available 24/7 and pulling out all the stops to solve problems quickly ensures our customers satisfaction and having the benefit of a fully kitted out engineering workshop with the back up of larger precision engineering companies allows for any machine break down to be dealt with in the quickest of time to continue to give a first class service.

ABOUT SES
Our current company directors co-founded Syresham Engineering Services Ltd in April 2003, based in Milton Keynes. Steve had a wealth of experience prior to starting the business, having worked for other firms and having grown up in a family of engineers. Michele began as Company Secretary, having held a number of client focused and office based roles. In 2004, the company relocated to Cambridgeshire and simultaneously expanded its premises. At present our on-site premises measure . We possess four forklifts; including a limited edition compact Hyster, permitting easy access into factories; one HGV and a large trailer.

The company has worked nationally and internationally: The Republic of Ireland, Germany, France, Holland, West Africa and Serbia and we maintain long-established business relationships with the vast majority of our customers. This is partly aided by the size of the business; being small we are able to offer a personal approach, treating each customer as an individual and not a number.
With about 50 years of industry experience, we can guarantee that you will receive services of an exceptional and unrivalled standard for very competitive rates. At SES, we offer breakdown attention 24 hours a day, seven days a week because we understand that they occur, particularly at the most inconvenient time. We will ensure you are able to meet your production obligations, no matter the problem, by providing you with either a temporary solution until our engineers are able to resolve the issue permanently, or by providing you a permanent fix immediately.
Our services also include handling, relocation and removal, as well as part exchange and used machinery sales.
We are in close proximity to A47, and are reasonably near to A14/M11 which ensures that we are able to efficiently and quickly reach our customers.
